Now let me just open the laptop and show you how it looks on the inside. So, these are the Strix card two looks like it’s got the world’s first 144 hertz super narrow bezel display with an Ultra-fast three millisecond response time.
Keyboard
Now let me give you guys a closer look at the keyboard and talk about its features. The Origins car two features a four zone RGB backlit illuminated chiclet keyboard with desktop inspired designed to offer great comfort and easy identification of the keys. Its transparent highlighted W, S, D, A keys with hyper strike pro and overstrike technology for accurate detection and effortless gaming. The quality of the keys is very nice.
They feel tactile and clicky and also the keyboard comes with n key rollover as well as anti-ghosting features. I was very satisfied with this keyboard and the RGB lighting on it is also fully customizable using a source or a sink software.
Touchpad
Coming to the touchpad the quality of the touchpad is nice, it’s very smooth accurately detects all the gestures and face no dead zones anywhere. Also, what I really like about it is it offers two separate left and right click buttons which feel very nice and clicky. Let’s talk about the display quality.
Display
Talking about the screen it’s got a 15.6inch full HD 10 ADP IPS display with very thin bezels on three sides, but the bottom bezel is a bit thick. You’ve got the ROG logo at the center, a webcam at the bottom right corner and some sensors beside that. Now let me show you the lower half. The lower half has a beautiful carbon fibre like pattern fit an overlay of camouflage design giving it a premium look and feel you’ve got the ROG logo at the bottom and RGB backlit keyboard made specially for gaming and the touchpad as I mention before that.

The scar to has a 15.6inch full HD IPS display with hundred percent sRGB color gamut. And what makes it special for gaming is it supports an insanely high 144 hertz refresh rate with an Ultra-fast three millisecond response time. And based on my usage, I have to tell you, this is one of the finest display I’ve seen on a laptop. The display quality is absolutely gorgeous. The screen is bright sharp has a lot of detail. And the color accuracy is also very nice. The white balance is perfect and the dynamic range is also really good.
It’s got great detail in both shadow as well as highlight areas. The screen is also quite bright with around 300 nits of brightness and talking about the viewing angles. It’s good wide viewing angles and the picture. Looks saved no matter from where you view it. And one more good thing is it also has anti-glare coating on it to avoid unnecessary reflections or glare which can be quite distracting while gaming.
Audio Quality
Now let me tell you about the audio quality on its built-in speakers discard two stereo speakers, each of them can produce 3.5 watts of output and talking about the audio quality. The audio quality is good. The mids are crisp and clear you could clearly hear the dialogue with minimum distortion and the audio output also decently loud, better than most of the other gaming laptops I’ve reviewed in a while.
Benchmarks
Let’s jump into the benchmarks. The Asus ROG Strix Scar II is powered by Intel’s I7 8750H has six core 12 thread Cpu clocked 3.9 gigahertz, an RT x 2060 GPU with six gigs of RAM on Geek bench four regard a single core score of around 4974 and a multi core score of 22,291. That’s a pretty impressive score and an open CL it got a score of around 2,01,170 nothing less expected from the RT x 2060. I’m very excited to see how this thing performs well gaming.
Gaming Performance
So, let’s get into the gaming section, we will be playing some graphic intensive AAA title games to finish this laptop to its limits. We will be playing all these games at 1080 at Ultra graphic settings. So first let’s start with Devil May Cry 5. And by the way, I’m playing all these games using my Xbox joystick. So just sit back grab your popcorn and enjoy the gameplay. Holy smokes a guy seen those buttery smooth frame rates. gaming on this laptop was so good that I could just keep on gaming for hours and hours. Like seriously guys, it was offering excellent gaming performance in DMC 5.
I was easily getting an average frame rate of around 120 frames per second at Ultra graphic settings. And I have to say gaming on this 140 hertz display looked absolutely gorgeous. Also, I haven’t two o’clock, the GPU, everything was running in stock. So that is a DMC 5 gameplay.
Now let’s play battlefield five and see how the laptop handle it. So, what I’ll do is play this game first with the XR off and then we’ll also play the game dx are enabled and check out the difference. All right before we start. we’re playing this game at 1080p 144 hertz, dx 12 is enable, raytracing is off, and rest all the options are set to ultra. Okay, now let’s play the game and see. Battlefield 5 is a very graphic intensive game and pushes the laptop to its limits. With Ultra graphic settings You got an average frame rate of around 70 to 80 frames per second and offers a buttery smooth gaming experience. I didn’t face any sort of lag or stutters at any point.
All right, now it’s time to play battlefield five with raytracing enabled. As you can see the XR is enabled and all the options are set to ultra. Now let’s play the game and see. Enabling dx are definitely impact on the performance. We are getting an average frame rate of around 55 frames per second, which is still a pretty solid frame rate. I was very satisfied with this laptops gaming performance, it’s a beast in this segment.
Heat
Again, talking about the heat, the laptop was definitely get not after some time, especially in the region about the keyboard, but don’t worry guys the scar two comes with a powerful dual fan cooling design with hyper cooled prosystem to keep things cool under heavy loads hyper fan definitely does its job, but it makes a lot of fan noise that can be a bit disturbing at times. But again, if you use headphones or plane, you won’t be able to notice.
Battery
Okay, now let me tell you about the battery. The Asus ROG Strix Scar II comes with the for sale, 66watt hour battery, but a beast like this with super high refresh rate and powerful hardware definitely takes a hit on the battery life. I would say the battery life is sort of average just like any other gaming laptop. If you use it for intense gaming in turbo mode with the brightness set to 70% then you’ll get only around 30 to 35 minutes of battery life. But other than gaming if you use it for stuff like browsing or streaming videos in balanced profile, then you get around three and a half to four hours of battery life.

Summary
So that was my review on Asus ROG Strix Scar II RTX additional laptop. This is an amazing gaming laptop. The build quality is top notch love the RGB light I think especially that RGB light bar on the front has a beautiful display and offers excellent gaming performance even on the 2060 variant. The only few things I felt were the webcam was placed at an odd angle, and also there was no Thunderbolt three support on such an expensive laptop.
I don’t know why Asus didn’t include that. That’s it rest everything else was great. The pricing of the RGS car to RT x 2060 starts from 1,64,000 rupees, I’ll just leave a link to that in the below. You can check it out there. Well that was it for today.
